Every year Congress changes the tax laws and each variation seems more confusing than the last. Who has time to keep up with these mountains of ever-changing tax laws? As a successful small business owner, your primary focus is on your customers, products or services – not taxes. That’s why I make the time to understand all the changes so I can provide you with timely advice.

Each summer I attend the IRS Nationwide Forum. This forum is held in six locations throughout the country. It is a 3-day seminar with 40 different one-hour workshops that the participants can attend. During the three days there is enough time to attend 20 of these workshops. They are taught by IRS experts in each given area. One of the great things about the Forum is that I can form working relationships with specific IRS employees. This helps greatly when a problem arises – I have the phone number and e-mail address of just the right person to contact.

Another huge benefit is the “Case Resolution Room”. The IRS allows me to bring unresolved tax problems to the conference where I can sit down directly with a top-notch IRS agent and resolve the problem. It is usually resolved immediately. I have been using this service for several years with great results. I know that you want to spend your time working in your own business – not spending time doing recordkeeping or trying to learn how to use accounting software. I can solve that problem by doing your accounting for you. I use QuickBooks Proadvisor Accountant software for keeping track of my clients accounting records. This is a special version of Quickbooks that is used by accounting professionals. It works perfectly with Quickbooks 2006, 2007 and 2008. I also have unlimited technical support through QuickBooks. So if you are having problems running or entering information into your system, then technical support is also available to you.

If you are not currently using QuickBooks and don’t want to do any accounting, I can do your monthly accounting for you from the invoices you have received, your checkbook and your bank statement. This makes your job so much easier. I also can keep track of your payroll and preparing quarterly and annual reports with the IRS and the Arizona Department of Revenue.

I also can prepare W-2 forms and send them to the Social Security Administration.

Whatever your accounting needs are, I can take care of it.

I teach my clients new ways to process the information that comes into their lives, whether it’s in the form of an email, work in progress or a phone call. Using a variety of productivity tools and proven methods, I customize solutions based on the client’s needs.

The services I provide include one-on-one organizing sessions in client offices, consulting work and training for departments or teams of people. Each method includes personalized follow up to ensure success. Specific services I provide include:

Document Scanning

80% of papers that are filed are never referenced again. The cost of the space the file cabinets occupy, the cabinets themselves, and filing supplies all expensive.

These problems can be solved by scanning your documents and placing them in electronic files and folders that can be accessed by the appropriate people in your office directly from their computer screen. This is the method I use in my own business.

Individuals

Do you have filing cabinets and boxes full of receipts and tax forms that are several years old? It really is necessary to keep this paperwork in case of an IRS audit. You probably have mortgage information, investment reports, bank statements, etc. that need to be retained for the same reason – an IRS audit. The IRS now allows scanned documents to be used for audit purposes.

It would also be advisable to place all of your documents on CD’s, DVD’s or best of all on a small hard drive known as a thumb drive, jump drive or pen drive. You can keep a second copy of your documents in a safe deposit box at your bank so that if a fire occurs, you still have your important document to access.
